Radio

Through my journalism degree at City, University of London, I have accumulated extensive knowledge on the necessities of both radio and broadcast news packages. This entails radio/ podcast / TV projects with tight deadlines and timely news topics. Below are some examples of the content produced independently and within a group.

Radio feature PKG

A radio feature package exploring the impact on mental health between the Muslim and Jewish communities in London, as anti-Semitism and Islamophobia increase amidst the Israel-Palestine conflict. I spoke to a Rabbi and a comedian hosting a Stand Up 4 Gaza fundraising event.

Radio News PKG

A first-grade radio package curated for an Audio and TV module during my second year. I spoke to a Women's health Physician and a mother-to-be, to discuss the importance of getting a Covid-19 vaccine whilst pregnant.

Family Matters Podcast

During our first year of undertaking a radio module, we were given the opportunity to create a group podcast with allotted themes. For our family topic, I discussed how the K-pop fandom deems each other as family, to demonstrate how we choose to construct what family means to us, even in some instances when we're strangers!

(6:57-9:59)

London Podcast Project

A group podcast project that was created during our second-year studies about London culture and local, ethnic-minority communities which received a first-grade.

My episode featured the popular Insta-figure, Sabah Ahmedi, who is also Britain's youngest Muslim Imam. He joins me in the first episode to discuss what it means to be a young imam, islamophobia in the media, and more during Ramadan.

Broadcast TV

TV feature PKG

A first-class grade broadcast video package on the declining book ownership amongst children and its impact on children's literacy rates. This was created as part of an assignment for City, University of London's broadcast module.

City Newsdays - AP PKG

A 2-minute AP PKG I produced on the Israel-Palestine conflict as part of my reporting role in City, University of London's broadcast 'Newsdays'. This refers to a 9 am-5 pm TV/ Radio programme with alternating roles across five weeks.
